ZEG Successfully Launches Military-Style Executive Education Program with Morgan Jones and Partners
ZEG, the Zhongzhi Enterprise Group, has joined forces with Morgan Jones and Partners, as well as Thayer Leadership Development Group, to design, develop and execute a military inspired management program this past fall. Engaged by Chairman Mr. Forest Xie of ZEG, Morgan Jones and Partners initiated pedagogic research, and collaborated with Thayer at West Point. Mr. Xie, the visionary entrepreneur and noted executive in diversified financial services, insisted on breaking the mold of traditional executive leadership education to embrace the intense, strategic and mission-centric leadership of combatant business environments. The six month, professional course design experience, culminated with a weeklong, military curriculum for the ZEG Leadership Academy at West Point, and its class of 2013.
Hosted at the Historic Thayer Hotel and Conference Center along the Hudson Palisades (October 26’th through to November 1’st, 2013), the event was directed by former US Army Military Attaché to People’s Republic of China, Brig. Gen. [Retired] Mark O’Neill as Faculty Chair. Other ZEG Leadership faculty included Brig. Gen. [Retired] Maureen LeBoeuf, Ed.D, and Lt. Gen [Retired] and former Deputy Combatant Commander for US Special Operations Command, Frank Kearney III.
Faculty also featured Maj. Gen. [Retired] Joe Franklin and Brig. Gen. [Retired] Jack Grubbs, Ph.D. The West Point experience was followed by a Special Awards and Honors Graduation Ceremony and Banquet in New York City, featuring speaker Lt. Com. [Retired] Leif Biben, a former Seal Team Three Commander and founder of Echelon Front (who’s presentation was aptly titled “Xtreme Leadership”).
The ZEG Leadership Academy – Class of 2013 was comprised of 50 “Fast Rising Stars” from all representative Zhongzhi Enterprise Group subsidiaries and holdings in the trust, wealth management, investment, and related diversified financial services.
